We investigate, from the perspective of auto industry, impact US steel and aluminum tariffs resumption under revised North American Free Trade Agreement, on trade in America foreign direct investment (FDI) Japan. The results our policy simulation analyses with a recursive dynamic computable general equilibrium model are as follows. Canada Mexico, being alternative partners other countries, would benefit tariffs. Due to intra-North exports, Mexico lose large part their windfall benefits Japan’s FDI fall sharply. As de-integration economies proceeded, Japan increase its production exports. negative welfare, largely result tariffs, be neutralized by abolition Japanese
